BREAKDOWN

CITY SPRINGS THEATRE COMPANY 2025 SEASON

THE PRODUCERS

SEEKING

Max Bialystock: The consummate con man. Naturally animated and bombastic, he is never at a loss for charm and manners. Typically conspires with Leo.

Leo Bloom: An accountant. Boring and mousy, he is a hesitant optimist who longs for something more. Dragged into a scheme by Max.

Franz Liebkind: German loyalist playwright. From his lederhosen to his pigeon, Adolph, his love for the motherland is unmistakable. He is imposing yet tender.

Rogers Debris: New York's most famous and flamboyant stage director. Surrounds himself with deliciously beautiful clothing, people, and possessions. In a crowd, it would be impossible to miss him.

Carmen Ghia: Roger Debris' faithful assistant. Carmen is severe in looks and passion for Roger. He may appear younger than he actually is thanks to skilled surgeons.

Ulla Inga Hansen Benson Yonsen Tallen-hallen Svaden-svanson: A young and hopeful actress. Though her beauty might eclipse her talent, Ulla is passionate about life and art. Quite a clueless seductress in some ways.

Ensemble: Accountants; Bavarian Peasants; Convicts; First Nighters; Little Old Ladies; Storm Troopers; Chorus Girls; Girl Prisoners; Usherettes

THE WIZARD OF OZ

SEEKING

Dorothy: The pretty young heroine, she is transported to Oz from her home in Kansas. Initially dreams of leaving her dull Kansas life, but discovers that home is where her heart is.

Scarecrow: A corn field fixture who joins Dorothy to get a brain from the Wizard. Kind and clumsy, he realizes that a new hat is all he needs to unlock the potential of his brain.

Tin Man: A very mechanical man who believes he doesn't have a heart. Joins Dorothy on her quest. Wide-eyed and gentle, but moves like a robot.

Cowardly Lion: A beast of the forest, venturing to Oz to get courage from the Wizard. He is frightened of everything, and his terror and subsequent sadness is extremely over-the-top. By the end, he is able to find his confidence.

Wicked Witch Of The West: The villain of the story, she is bent on grabbing Dorothy after she accidentally kills her sister and takes her shoes. A comedic villainess who is also crafty and menacing.

Glinda The Good/ Aunt Em: The Good Witch of the North. Beautiful and graceful. Both ethereal and somewhat whimsical, she helps guide Dorothy once she lands in Oz. Dorothy's aunt and Henry's wife. A typical midwestern farm worker, her main concern is the upkeep of her farm.

Uncle Henry: A Kansas farmer and Dorothy's uncle.

Ensemble: Additional Munchkins; Emerald City People; Additional Winged Monkeys

COME FROM AWAY

SEEKING:

Claude: The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople and his daily traditions, but he's never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before.

Bonnie: A no-nonsense mother of three, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety - but in frustration, she often lashes out at those around her.

Beulah: The head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, who walks Hannah to her church and prays with her.

Oz: The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town's population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways.

Janice: An eager new local TV reporter, Janice is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Initially naïve about the world, Janice must face the pain and confusion around her.

Beverly/Annette: The first female captain for American Airlines Pilot, Beverly Bass has always loved flying, when her world suddenly changes. Annette: A local teacher at the Gander Academy and mother to a lot of children.

Diane: A traditional divorcee from Texas, who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out that he's safe, she's given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder more carefree side of herself.

Nick/Doug: An English oil engineer who is focused on his work, Nick's life is turned upside down when he falls for Diane. Doug: An Air Traffic Controller, married to Bonnie, who tries to help his wife and the animals.

Kevin T/Garth: The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town's generosity, Kevin creates the Pay It Forward Foundation. Garth: The head of the local union, representing the Bus Drivers.

Kevin J/Ali: Kevin's boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he wants to leave as soon as possible.

Bob: A hardened New Yorker, Bob is suspicious of where he's landed, fearing that it's World War 3, that someone is going to shoot him and steal his wallet - but instead, he ends up losing his New York jadedness.

Hannah: The mother of a firefighter in Manhattan, Hannah waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah.
