SEEKING:

  • Frank Bonner: late 30s, Midwestern born and raised. A still water that runs deep. People describe him as loyal and steadfast. Quiet, keep his temper in check, hates talking about the past but recent events have unearthed an anger in him and a frustration about his life, wanting more. Until his recent firing, he worked at a sporting goods store, working his way to manager. Has one son and is married to Edyth. (This role is cast.)
  • Edyth Bonner: late 40s. From the outside, people would say she wears the pants in her marriage, but that comes from being a decade older than her husband Frank. Tough exterior that hides a deep need to connect with others. Would rather eat a meal on Zoom with a stranger rather than alone (the pandemic is hard on her especially since she has to still show up to work every day). Has no family that she speaks to anymore. (This role is cast.)
  • Martin: late 20s-early 30s. Gamer bro who got thrust into middle management earlier than he would like. Has an amazing amount of school debt. Probably spends 97% of a year sporting the same hoodie and/or tee shirt and jeans. Boyish and probably always will be. Cat person. Thinks of himself as vaguely liberal but isn’t into labels.
  • Alma: 15-16 years old. Has put up with a lot in her life, and as a result, very selective in whom she opens up to, again with the exception of online. Has dealt with her dad’s physical and emotional abuse since she was ten or eleven, but never could imagine telling someone who works at school, because somehow that would be stupid.
  • Rayne: mid-20s but gives off an older vibe. Non-binary/Queer/Trans. They have a lot of strong opinions about the world and isn’t afraid to share them. Struck out on their own early in life and has worked hard to have a chosen family that gets them. Believes in public education so went to a community college even though teachers thought they could be “Ivy-material”. In a poly relationship.

  • Alan Turing: Professor, Scientist, Mathematician. Around 40 years old, untidily dressed, unkempt appearance, has an occasional stammer. Queer. (This role is cast.)
  • Sara Turing: 40-60. Alan’s mother. Social, loving, flighty. (This role is cast.)
  • Dillwyn Knox: Around 60, Has A Limp, A Government Scientist Running The Experiments That Alan Worked For Against Germany.
  • Pat Green: Woman, 30 - 35. Works Alongside Knox Against Germany. Is In Love With Alan.
  • Mick Ross: Detective Sergeant At Police Station. Leads Investigation For/On Alan.
  • John Smith: Middle Aged, Authoritative Voice, Some Sort Of Higher Up In The System.
  • Christopher Morcom: School Boy Aged 17. Best Friends With Alan. Science Student With Alan In School, Comes From A Family Of Scientists.
  • Doubles as:
Ron Miller: 20 Years Old, Working Class, Alan’s Lover Whom He Met At A Bar.
Nikos: Greek Boy In His 20s. Alan’s Lover In Greece. Does Not Speak Any English.
