Has come home to Ohio with a bitter secret after break-up of his marriage. LORNA: female, 30s, sister to Jack, unmarried BARBARA: female, late 50s–mid 60s, mother to Jack and Lorna PHIL: male, 30s, boyhood friend of Jack’s who is interested in Lorna but too shy to tell her JENNY: female, 30s, separated wife of Jack, snobbish, native New Yorker who travels to Ohio to confront Jack.

Comes to town to win the second of two magic guitars once owned by the late father of Jaguar and Glory Dupree. JAGUAR DUPREE: African- American male, 20s-30s, musician who has forsaken the blues and resorted to playing rock to make ends meet. Lost 1 of his father’s magic guitars in a “cutting contest” with Marvel. GLORY DUPREE: African-American female, 20s-30s, sister to Jaguar, blind and still lives at home with her mother Good Sister Dupree. Is the keeper of the 2nd magical guitar. GOOD SISTER DUPREE: African-American female, 40s-50s, mother to Jaguar and Glory, widow, strong willed. DREGSTER DUPREE: African- American male, 40s–50s, brother of Good Sister’s late husband and current suitor to Good Sister, good natured, humorous role.

ALWAYS, PATSY CLINE conceived and written by Ted Swindley Director: TBD Music Director: TBD Features the music of Patsy Cline 1st rehearsal: 10/25; runs: 11/19–1/22/12 AVAILABLE ROLES LOUISE SEGER (non-singing role): 40s–50s housewife who met and befriended Patsy Cline up until Patsy’s untimely death. Ultimately it is her story that we learn about. PATSY CLINE(singing role) mid 20s–30s, country-western singer who recorded up to 27 hits in her career before her death in a plane crash in 1963.

ZACK: male, late teens, dealing with the death of his mother, thinks that he has been hired as Sherry’s Assistant teacher. JOSEPH: male, 50s,widowed father to Zack, Principal at Sherry’s school, secretly still in love with Sherry and Grace’s mother. GRACE: female, late 20s, sister to Sherry, distraught over the break-up of her latest relationship, has been stealing random items from her ex.

Preparation Bring headshot and resume. Please prepare any combination of the following: a monologue from a contemporary play and a monologue from a Shakespeare play (Verse please), and if you wish, one song from a musical not to exceed 48 bars. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided.
Other This is an Equity Performer Audition. Chorus Singers will also be seen. EPA Rules apply. To be considered for both musical and non-musical, you must audition on Tuesday.
