JESUS: 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High rock tenor (A2-C5). Leader of the twelve Apostles, a man, called the “Son of God” and the “King of the Jews.” Jesus has a difficult time accepting his fate without answers on why he must die.
JUDAS: 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High rock tenor (B2-D5). Arguably the antagonist of the show. One of the twelve apostles of Jesus; concerned for the poor and the consequences of Jesus' fame.
MARY MAGDALENE: 30s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Alto (F#3-C5). A female follower of Jesus who finds herself falling in love with him. Strong, smart and earthy. Shows grace, diplomacy, and tenderness.
PILATE: 30s – 40s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High rock tenor (A2-Bb4). The Roman governor of Judea who foresees the events of Jesus' crucifixion in a dream and finds himself being presented with that very situation.
KING HEROD: 30s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (C#3-G4). The King of Galilee; Jesus is brought to him for judgment after first being taken to Pilate. An eccentric with bacchian appetites.
CAIAPHAS: 30s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Bass (C#2-F4). High priest who sees Jesus as a threat to faith and the nation.
ANNAS: 20s – 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (C#3-C5). Fellow priest at the side of Caiaphas who is persuaded by Caiaphas into seeing Jesus as a threat.
SIMON ZEALOTES: 20s – 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High rock tenor (G3-Bb4). One of Jesus’ twelve apostles; urges Jesus to lead his followers into battle against the Romans. Simon believes that violence can solve all their problems.
PETER: 20s – 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (B2-G4). One of Jesus’ twelve apostles; denies Jesus three times on the night of Jesus’ arrest to save himself. Peter is obsessed with impatience.

ELSA: 20s, female presenting any ethnicity. Alto w/ high belt (E3-Eb5). Reserved and hesitant, yet inherently regal, Elsa makes a stunning new Queen of Arendelle. However, she has been trained for over a decade to fear and hide her magical powers.
ANNA: 20s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Mezzo-soprano (G3-E5). Optimistic, enthusiastic, and slightly disheveled Princess of Arendelle. Naturally funny and courageously fearless, her greatest flaw – and her greatest strength – is her faith in love.
OLAF: 20s – 30s, any gender identity, any ethnicity. Alto (E3-Eb5) or tenor (B2-Bb4). A big-voiced snowman created by Elsa’s magic, Olaf is pure innocence, completely content to be anywhere, doing anything. Great singer.
KRISTOFF: 20s – 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (A2-Bb4). A human orphan raised by Hidden Folk in the forest, Kristoff is a self-reliant ice-seller and Mountain Man whose best friend is a reindeer, for whom he provides a voice so they can have conversations. Naturally warm with a good heart, he’s cautious about Anna and her mountaintop mission.
HANS: 20s – 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (A2-A4). The youngest of thirteen brothers, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is a real charmer – as handsome as handsome gets. Anna falls for his open wittiness on the spot – he gets her.
SVEN: The lovable reindeer & sidekick to Kristoff. Funny, inquisitive and intuitive. Dancers/Acrobats with strong upper body and core strength and stamina to operate a full body puppet.
WESELTON: 40s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (F3-F4). A chauvinistic, intolerant diplomat, the Duke of Weselton seeks any opportunity to get ahead. He seizes on Elsa’s “accident” to spread fear and discredit the entire royal family of Arendelle.
YOUNG ELSA: 11 years old, female presenting, any ethnicity. Mezzo-soprano child (A3-E5). Bright, poised, elder princess of Arendelle who adores her younger sister. She aims to be a perfect daughter, but wrestles with a dangerous talent.
YOUNG ANNA: 8 years old, female presenting, any ethnicity. Mezzo-soprano child (Bb3-E5). Energetic, free-spirited younger princess of Arendelle who dotes on every word and movement of Elsa. She is heartbroken when she is isolated from Elsa by their parents.

DR. FREDERICK FRANKENSTEIN: 30s – 40s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (Bb2-G4). A brilliant brain surgeon, slightly obsessively devoted to science; professor, and grandson of mad scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein.
THE MONSTER: 30s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Baritone (Db3-Gb4). The misunderstood creation of Dr. Frankenstein. Physically imposing: Must be over 6’0. Tap dance skills are a plus.
IGOR: 30s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (B2-A4). Frederick’s faithful, bright-eyed, eager servant and friend.
INGA: 20s – early 30s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Mezzo-soprano (G3-Ab5). Frederick’s attractive assistant (although oblivious to her sexuality and appeal), highly spirited, and a resident of Transylvania.
ELIZABETH BENNING: 30s – 40s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Soprano (F#3-Bb5). Frederick’s spoiled and self-centered fiancée.
FRAU BLUCHER: 40s – 60s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Alto (E3-Db5). The stern housekeeper of the Frankenstein estate and former lover of Victor Frankenstein.
INSPECTOR HANS KEMP / HERMIT: 40s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High baritone (G2-A4). This role will be doubled. Inspector Kemp: The head of police in Transylvania. Driven by justice, with a wooden arm and leg. The Hermit: A recluse, hoping for a friend.

TRACY TURNBLAD: 18+ to play high school age, female presenting, white. Alto (G3-Eb5). She is large and in charge. Outgoing, unstoppable, good-hearted with a vibrant, lovable, spirited personality. Loves to dance. Becomes a teen heroine. Strong pop belt singer and great mover.
EDNA TURNBLAD: 40s – 50s, usually played in drag, white. Baritone (F#2-E4). Tracy's mother. A working class, devoted, loving housewife. She has lost her confidence and dream to be a plus-size clothing designer. Boisterous and commanding. Comedian.
CORNY COLLINS: 30s, male presenting, white. Tenor (D3-A#4). The charismatic host of the local TV teen dance show. Handsome, charming, engaging, smooth. Strong pop singer.
PENNY PINGLETON: 18+ to play high school age, female presenting, white. Soprano (B3-G5). Ditzy, neurotic, devoted best friend of Tracy. Very funny with good intentions. Bursting to get free of her mother's dominating control, she falls for Seaweed with childlike curiosity. Strong pop belt singer and mover.
VELMA VON TUSSLE: 40s – 50s, female presenting, white. Alto (G3-E5). A former beauty queen, Amber's mother, and producer of the local TV teen dance show. Upscale, attractive, prejudiced snob who always wants her daughter in the spotlight. Funny, biting, manipulative. Good character singer.
AMBER VON TUSSLE: 18+ to play high school age, female presenting, white. Alto (A3-E5). The ice princess of the local TV teen dance show and Link's girlfriend. She is pretty, thin, shallow, and snobby. Strong pop belt singer and great mover.
LINK LARKIN: 18+ to play high school age, male presenting, white. Tenor (Ab2-A4). Handsome, sexy, clean-cut, goodhearted, down-to-earth. The heartthrob of the local TV teen dance show. Amber's boyfriend at first, but he unexpectedly falls for Tracy. Strong pop singer and great mover.
SEAWEED J. STUBBS: 18+ to play high school age, male presenting, Black. Tenor (Gb3-Bb4). Cool, sexy and goodhearted he is the son of Motormouth Maybelle who becomes Penny's boyfriend. His dance lessons help Tracy get chosen for the local TV teen dance show. Strong, soulful tenor pop singer and great mover.
LITTLE INEZ: 18+ to play young teen, female presenting, Black. Alto (C4-C#5). Spunky, tough, streetwise, outgoing, older than her years. Seaweed's lovable little sister. Strong pop singer and mover.
MOTORMOUTH MAYBELLE: 40s – 50s, female presenting, Black. Alto (E3-Eb5). Seaweed and Little Inez's mother. Queen of Baltimore Soul, a radio DJ. Powerful and inspiring, with an infectious personality. Strong, soulful gospel/pop singer.
WILBUR TURNBLAD: 40s – 50s, male presenting, white. Tracy's father. Baritone (G2-F#4). A working-class inventor. Sweet, goofy, childlike personality and supports his daughter in spite of everything else. He is also lovingly devoted to his wife, Edna. Good character singer.
FEMALE AUTHORITY FIGURE: 40s – 50s, female presenting, white. Alto (A3-E5). Various zany roles including Prudy Pingleton, Penny's uptight and small-minded mother; a sadistic high school gym teacher; a cop; and a sardonic prison matron. (Think SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.) Sharp, funny, inventive with a strong singing voice.
MALE AUTHORITY FIGURE: 40s – 50s, male presenting, white. Various zany roles including a nervous businessman; a condescending high school principal; a flamboyant fashion boutique owner; a cop; and a corrupt prison guard. (Think SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.) Sharp, funny, inventive with good singing voice.
THE DYNAMITES: 3 sexy female presenting singer/dancers inspired by the Supremes, Black. Should have glorious pop/gospel singing voices. Should move well. They are featured in the showstopper Welcome to the '60s.

DIANE & others: 40s – 50s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Alto (A3-C#5). A traditional divorcee from Texas, who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. Doubles as Crystal and Brenda.
HANNAH & others: 40s – 60s, female presenting, Black. Alto (A3-D5). The mother of a firefighter in Manhattan, Hannah waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah. Doubles as Margie and Mickie.
JANICE & others: 20s – 30s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Alto (B3-B4). An eager new local tv reporter, Janice is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Doubles as Britney and Flight Attendant.
BEULAH & others: 40s – 60s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Alto (B3-D5). The head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, who walks Hannah to her church and prays with her. Doubles as Delores.
BONNIE & others: 30s – 40s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Alto (G3-A4). A no-nonsense mother of 3, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety. Doubles as Martha.
BEVERLEY & others: 40s – 50s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Alto (F#3-E5). The first female captain for American Airlines Pilot, Beverley Bass has always loved flying, when her world suddenly changes. Doubles as Annette, a local teacher at the Gander Academy and mother to a lot of children.
OZ & others: 30s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High baritone (B2-G4). The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town’s population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Doubles as Joey, Customs Officer, Mr. Michaels, Terry, Matty, Rabbi and Head Cardiologist.
KEVIN T. & others: 30s – 40s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (A2-G4). The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Doubles as Garth and President Bush.
KEVIN J. & others: 30s – 40s, male presenting, MENASA. Baritone (A2-F#4). Kevin’s boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he wants to leave as soon as possible. Doubles as Dwight and Ali.
BOB & others: 20s – 40s, male presenting, Black. Baritone (D3-F#4). A hardened New Yorker, Bob is suspicious of where he’s landed, fearing that it’s World War 3, that someone is going to shoot him and steal his wallet – but instead, he ends up losing his New York jadedness. Doubles as Muhumuza and Captain Bristol.
CLAUDE & others: 40s – 60s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Baritone (B2-E4). The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople and his daily traditions, but he’s never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before. Doubles as Derm and Brenda’s brother, Eddie.
NICK & others: 50s – 60s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Baritone (B2-D4). An English oil engineer who is focused on his work, Nick’s life is turned upside down when he falls for Diane. Doubles as Doug, an air traffic controller married to Bonnie, who tries to help his wife and the animals.

SCROOGE: 50s – 60s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Baritone (Ab2-G4). A man who lost his father to creditors as a kid and has grown up heeding his father’s advice to save his money. Until he realizes how terrible he’s become, he is a grumpy, unsympathetic man and has no time for anyone or anything.
CRATCHIT: 30s – 40s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Baritone (B2-F4). A father and husband who cares deeply for his family, particularly his youngest son. He works hard to provide for them but is mistreated by his employer, Scrooge.
GRACE SMYTHE: 8 – 12 years old, female presenting, any ethnicity. Child mezzo-soprano (Db4-Db5). A respectable but poor girl who just lost her mother.
TINY TIM: 8 – 12 years old, male presenting, any ethnicity. Child mezzo-soprano (Bb3-D5). Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit’s youngest son. He is disabled and sick but defines Christmas spirit. He constantly reminds his family that if they are together, they will be happy.
GHOST OF JACOB MARLEY: 40s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (B2-Ab4). Scrooge’s former business partner who, before his death, was exactly like Scrooge. Comes back as a ghost in chains to warn Scrooge of how his life decisions will bind him in the afterlife.
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST: 40s – 50s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (Eb3-G#4). An ever cheerful, sprightly ghost who comes back with the history book of Scrooge's past to show him the events that led to his current state. Doubles as Lamplighter.
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT: 30s – 40s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High baritone (A#2-G4). A jovial, larger-than-life ghost who comes back to show Scrooge all the joy, love, and celebration he is missing while those around him celebrate Christmas. Doubles as Sandwich Board Man.
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS FUTURE: 50s – 60s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Mezzo-soprano (Db4-F5). A beautiful, and terrifying wraith, the Ghost of Christmas Future is strong and silent as she shows Scrooge what will happen to him and those around him if he continues down the path he is currently treading. Doubles as Blind Old Hag.
MRS. CRATCHIT: 30s – 40s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Mezzo-soprano (B3-E5). Tiny Tim's mother and Mr. Cratchit's wife. She is a loving mother who tries to provide the best for her children with what she's got.
FRED: 20s – 30s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Baritone (C3-E4). Scrooge's nephew and only living relative. He is a pleasant young man who believes in the good a joyful Christmas spirit can make in the world.
MR. FEZZIWIG: 50s – 60s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Tenor (B3-B4). A portly, jolly man who used to throw a huge Christmas party every year for the community. He was Scrooge's first boss and after teaching him all he knew, he became deeply disappointed in the man Scrooge became.
MRS. FEZZIWIG: 50s – 60s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Mezzo-soprano (A#3-Ab5). The consummate hostess and Mr. Fezziwig's wife, she loved to help throw the Christmas party every year. She is prideful.
EMILY: 20s, female presenting, any ethnicity. Soprano (B3-Bb5). Scrooge’s fiancée from when they were young. A beautiful girl, unimpressed by or in need of money.
YOUNG SCROOGE: 20s, male presenting, any ethnicity. High baritone (B2-G4). The young version of Scrooge.
YOUNG MARLEY: 20s, male presenting, any ethnicity. Baritone (D3-F4). The young version of Marley.
