BUG
NOTE: All roles are currently cast, seeking understudies for all roles.
AGNES WHITE [CAST]: Early-mid 40s. A cocktail waitress. Hiding from her violent ex-husband. Lonely, and living a very constrained existence. Starved for company and suggestible, she is pulled into Peter’s delusions and begins to unravel. NOTE: Nudity required for this role.
PETER EVANS [CAST]: 30s. A Gulf War veteran. Seems at first to be a disarmingly un-aggressive and lost young man, but as the depth of his paranoia reveals itself, his tether to reality comes into question. But he is persuasive in his conviction, and his distrust of authority seems earned. NOTE: Nudity required for this role.
R.C. [CAST]: 40s/50s. Agnes’s friend. A lesbian biker. Introduces Agnes to Peter and tries to intervene when she comes to regret it. A realist. Loyal, down-to-earth.
JERRY GOSS [CAST]: 40s/50s. Agnes’s ex-husband. Recently out of prison. Expects Agnes to welcome him back without question, and is aggravated by Peter’s presence in her hotel room. Menacing and violent. A man who expects to have his way.
DR. SWEET [CAST]: 50s/60s. A military medical “consultant.” Calm and unreadable. Wants to extract Peter from the motel room and is willing to trick Agnes in order to do it. Whatever has brought Peter to his current state, Dr. Sweet knows something about it.
