Seeking:
Captain Jon Emmett:
51. Staten Island fireman. Graying hair, tall. Highly functioning alcoholic with a heart of gold. Tough when he needs to be. Lost a lot of friends on 9/11, and it shows. Reads the “New York Times”, which sets him apart from most of his “New York Post”-reading colleagues.
Darlene Gennaro:
27. Wife of a Brooklyn cop. Beautiful brunette ass-kicker. She's had it with her overtime-obsessed husband who is never home for dinner, never at church with her, and never in their bed. Terrified he's slipping away, and fighting like hell to hang on to him.
Lisa Emmett:
24. Daughter of a Staten Island fireman. Vulnerable, with an edge. Recovering addict; purposely lost her accent when she got clean. Ditched her drug-dealing boyfriend, and is trying to make a living as a temp. Hasn't seen her father in two years, since she stole from him in order to buy drugs. Loves him so much it hurts.
Annie:
30s. Genuine, down-to-earth elementary school teacher who is volunteering at Ground Zero on the weekends. Great listener who can take care of people without them realizing she's doing it. Peacekeeper whose good intentions occasionally get her in over her head.
