Equity actors for roles in AS YOU LIKE IT (See breakdown). Local Connecticut talent are encouraged to audition. Valley Shakespeare Festival is committed to inclusive casting and providing a safe, welcoming artistic work environment; actors of all ethnicities, abilities, genders, races, gender identities and LGBQT+ are encouraged to audition.
Come prepared with a memorized, one-minute comedic Shakespeare monologue. Be sure to put your own spin/stamp on it. You may also be asked to improvise and/or read from the script. Remember, this is an extremely fast paced and high energy show!

AS YOU LIKE IT
Character pronouns are only given as a point of reference. All roles should be able to move - extra care considered for those who can riff on an instrument. Those auditioning should be familiar with the plays of Shakespeare and should be comfortable with improvisation, music, physical contact, and audience interaction.
9 Performers: 18+ to fill the roles of the not-so-scholarly scholars who will portray multiple characters throughout our upcoming outdoor production of William Shakespeare’s “AS YOU LIKE IT”. Roles include:
