ANNA CHRISTIE

SEEKING:

Anna Christopherson: CAST. Female, 30s.

Mat Burke: CAST. Male, 30s.

Chris Christopherson: Male, 50s-60s. Any ethnicity. Originally from Sweden. Weatherbeaten coal barge captain. Affectionate, superstitious, guilt-ridden, stubborn.

Marthy Owen: Female, 40s-50s. Any ethnicity. Rough, loud, and has a hard-living appearance, but she also displays humor and a sense of camaraderie. Lives with Chris on his barge. Takes Anna under her wing.

Larry: Male, 20s-30s. Any ethnicity. A young, good-looking bartender at “Johnny-The-Priest’s” saloon. Larry is cheerful, observant, and provides comic relief.

Johnny “The Priest”: Male, 30s-50s. Any ethnicity. Owner of the waterfront saloon. Johnny is mild-mannered in appearance but is actually cynical and tough beneath his exterior.

Shipmates, Longshoremen, Postman, & as cast: Four Men, late 20s-50s. Any ethnicity. Rough and tumble men who move extremely well and bring a gruff authenticity to their lines.
