Recreates the fun and the style of the Golden Age of classic Broadway musicals of the 1930s and 1940s. This hilarious, fanciful imagining of the actual life of Aesop tells of how he used his fables to better himself and his fellow man and ultimately become the hero of the greatest fable of all!

Note: All must be strong singer/actors with great comedic timing.
Aesop:
Mid 20s-early 30s. Role for a character man. Short. Appealing. Quick-witted. Comic timing needed; young Robert Morse type. Sings to high G.
Lycaena:
Mid 20s-early 30s. Short. Strong "spit and vinegar" type. Comic timing needed. Strong singer, belt w/mix w/no break, sings to F.
Croesus:
Mid 30s-mid 40s. Role for a strong character actor. Character is self-important but insecure. Married to his money. Nathan Lane/Jackie Gleason type. Falsetto to high A flat, belt to F.
Delphinia:
Late 20s-mid 30s. Very sexy, buxom, conniving. Comic timing needed. Strong belt singer, belt to F. Christina Hendricks/Dolores Gray type.
Philocalus:
Mid 20s-early 30s. Sexy. Vain. Athletic build. Handsome but slow-witted. Tenor, sings comfortably to high G.
Xanthus:
Late 40s-mid 50s. Fatherly. Easily confused. Strong comic timing needed. Edward Everett Horton type. Some singing.

Mid 30s-early 50s. Grande dame trophy wife. Comic timing needed. Must sing.
