The Warner begins The Met: Live in HD 2011-2012 series on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 12 pm with a live simulcast of Wagner's Siegfried.

In part three of the Ring, Wagner's cosmic vision focuses on his hero's early conquests, while Robert Lepage's revolutionary stage machine transforms itself from bewitched forest to mountaintop love nest. Gary Lehman sings the title role and Deborah Voigt's Brünnhilde is his prize. Bryn Terfel is the Wanderer. Fabio Luisi conducts.

The Warner Theatre will offer a complimentary pre-broadcast lecture to all ticket holders given by opera expert Nunzio DeFilippis from 10-10:45. Mr. DeFilippis has taught "Opera, a Passion for all Ages" at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, UConn Waterbury CT.

Tickets for this event are $20, $18 for seniors and students and $10 for children 13 & under. A season subscription for all 11 transmissions is available for $198.
