Read to Grow Hosts Anna Quindlen 4/26
By: Gabrielle Sierra
Join Read to Grow for an intimate evening with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and bestselling author Anna Quindlen on Monday, April 26, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Long Wharf Theatre's Stage II, located at 222 Sargent Drive in New Haven.
Read to Grow is a nonprofit organization that helps build children's literacy right from the start, the only statewide organization to put books in the hands of parents at their baby's birth, when literacy development begins.
Following wine and hors d'oeuvres, Read to Grow founder and board chair Roxanne Coady will interview Ms. Quindlen, author of a new novel, Every Last One.In Every Last One, Quindlen presents a powerful portrait of a mother, a father, and a family, and the explosive, disastrous consequences of what seem like normal, everyday actions.
Single tickets to the event are $50. Premium tickets, which include a signed first edition of Every Last One, are $70. Seating is limited. Call Read to Grow at 203-488-6800 to reserve a seat or for more information. Proceeds will benefit Read to Grow's programs and help build literacy for Connecticut children.
