Ember Women's Theatre Presents LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE

Ember Women's Theatre's production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron ( based on the book by Ilene Beckerman ) will take place Fridays and Saturdays, November 2nd - 17th 2018, at MadLab Theatre, 227 N. 3rd St, in Columbus. Admission is $20 for all patrons. Tickets are available online at www.madlab.net.

Love, Loss, and What I Wore explores how memory and experience can be captured by clothing. Gingy shares drawings of her most important pieces of clothing, and describes the memories they elicit: love, loss, and moving on. Weaving through Gingy's tale is a series of monologues and vignettes from a chorus of women sharing their own stories. Prom Dresses and Boots face off with self identity and trauma, an electric blue bathrobe grieves, and a pair of naughty brown trousers promises that true love can survive prison.

Ember Women's Theatre's production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore is directed by Michelle Batt, stage managed by Michael Trakas, and features Vicki Kessler as Gingy. The ensemble cast includes: Melissa Bair, Jennifer Barlup, Jennifer Feather-Youngblood, Susan Gellman, Cat McAlpine, Anita McFarren, McLane Nagy, Ayla Stirnaman, Traci Weaver, and Susan Wismar.

This is Ember Women's Theatre's second production. Founded by Michelle Batt and Melissa Bair, the group's mission is to produce published or original works that focus on the strength and perseverance of women through strong female characters.
