CCT Presents THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE

Columbus Children's Theatre will present Mr. Scrooge Nov 24 - Dec 23 at the Park Street Theatre located at 512 Park Street. This production is directed by William Goldsmith.

When C.S. Lewis first published his book back in 1950, he would have no idea just how his story of magic and bravery would still resonate with audiences in the 21st century. Set in 1940, the four Pevensie siblings never would have guessed that the old looking wardrobe could transport them to a fantastical world beyond their wildest imaginations. All is not as it seems though, for when the four children stumble into Narnia, they soon come to realize the evil White Witch has ruled over the land for the past 100 years with her deep, cold winter. Teaming up with the talking lion Aslan, this band of siblings must work together to restore all that is good to the land of Narnia.

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was most recently reimagined with the release of the 2005 film starring Tilda Swinton staring at the White Witch. The success of the movie led to the creation of the following film sequels based off Lewis' other books in his Chronicles of Narnia series with Prince Caspian (2008) and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010). Come join CCT as we transport you back once again (or for the first time) to the world Narnia to witness a classic tale of good versus evil, and to remind yourself that we all have the power to stand up and fight for what is right. CCT's production will star Cali Carnes, Nicolas Brunet, Riley Mehrtens, and Kyle Swearingen as Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter Pevensie respectively. The role of the White Witch will be played by Robyn Rae Stype.

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is brought to you by Kayne Law Group. CCT thanks their season sponsors Greater Columbus Arts Council, Art Makes Columbus, Ohio Arts Council, The National Endowment for the Arts, The Columbus Foundation, AEP, Nationwide, The Shubert Foundation, The Reinberger Foundation, and Lbrands Foundation.
