Celebrate Cincinnati's Contributions To Music History With CINCINNATI KING

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will celebrate the local voices, stories and talents that cemented Cincinnati in music history in CINCINNATI KING, a new world premiere musical that begins Nov. 3 (Opening night is Nov. 8.) It runs through Dec. 23 and is staged with support from The Rosenthal Family Foundation, Season Sponsor of New Work.

The Society for the Preservation of Music Hall (SPMH) will 'Wake the Dead' on October 31 from 9:00 PM to midnight at one of the country's most historic and haunted places - Cincinnati Music Hall. SPMH's inaugural Halloween Bash will delight adult audiences with spine-tingling tunes - played in Music Hall's Grand Ballroom on The Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ by master organist, Trent Sims. Cincinnati's legendary bartender, Molly Wellmann, will be mixing up spooktacular drinks for guests and ghouls alike. 
Bob The Drag Queen To Host RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE WERQ THE WORLD Tour

Voss Events has announced that Bob the Drag Queen will host the much-anticipated show at the Aronoff Center's Procter & Gamble Hall on Thursday, October 18 at 9:00 PM.  The previously-announced host, Michelle Visage, is no longer with the tour due to a schedule conflict. The event is part of Cincinnati Arts Association's 2018-19 Presenting Season.

When they find each other through a roommate listing, hilarity (and some illegal activity) ensues. Beginning Sept. 21, Shelterhouse audiences can come along for the ride in THE ROOMMATE and watch two empty-nesters navigate the rocky roads of change. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its 25th Anniversary Season at The Otto M. Budig Theater with "1984", a new adaptation of George Orwell's classic novel by Robert Icke and Duncan MacMillan. "1984" runs October 12 - November 3, and is directed by Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips and features Resident Ensemble Members Justin McCombs and Sara Clark. The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) announces that the 2018-19 series held in Music Hall's Corbett Tower, an intimate space for a more personal concert experience. The CSO Chamber Players concerts are curated by the musicians of the CSO, providing them the opportunity to share rare, technical, and creative pieces with the public. This season the CSO Chamber Players will present concerts on November 2, 2018, February 22, 2019, March 15, 2019, and April 26, 2019.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Appoints Musicians to Eight Positions Following Highly Competitive Auditions

Following extensive, highly competitive auditions, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) announced seven orchestra seats have been filled starting in the 2018-19 season and one position was filled in the final months of the 2017-18 season. Of the eight newly filled positions, five musicians are newly hired, two are CSO members who won new positions and one musician, Principal Trumpet Robert Sullivan, marks the return of a former member of the Orchestra. For the 2018-19 appointments, auditions were held between November 2017 and May 2018 and attracted candidates from around the world.
