Introduction:
By the father of Chinese drama, Cao Yu’s Wilderness is the third in his trilogy that includes Thunderstorm and Sunrise. In Cao’s typical light-hearted style, Wilderness tells how Qiu Hu comes home to exact revenge on evil landlard Jiao, only to find the man dead and his son married to the miserable Jin Zi, Qiu’s fiancé. The two decide to escape together, but instead Qiu kills her husband and commits suicide to atone for his crime. Starring Hu Jun, Xu Fan,Pu Cunxin; Chen Xinyi directs.
