Popovsky Performing Arts presents Footloose: The Musical from August 2-4, 2024. Directed by Dr. Cody Allyn Page, this stage adaptation of the classic 1984 film features a lively score by Tom Snow and lyrics by Dean Pitchford, with additional music from renowned artists like Kenny Loggins. The story follows Ren, played by Ryan Slusky, as he navigates the challenges of fitting in at his new school in a small town where dancing is banned by the local preacher. With a talented cast including Kylee Waller as Ariel and Michael Klitsch as Willard, the production promises a heartfelt exploration of youth, rebellion, and community.
