About this camp
Camp Southwoods is a coed overnight summer camp on Paradox Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, at 532 NYS Route 74 in Paradox. The camp offers flexible enrollment with two three-week sessions, a closing two-week session, and combined five-, six- and eight-week options. Programming spans outdoor adventure, waterfront and water activities, sports and athletics, creative arts and special programs, with older campers able to join the Super Senior and Leader in Training tracks. One-week specialty programs include an Adirondack Adventure Camp for ages 11-17 featuring canoeing, climbing and hiking, and the Southwoods Soccer Academy for ages 12-15. Camp is unplugged, and most campers arrive by bus from the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia areas.
Sessions can be combined for 5-, 6- or 8-week stays. Most campers travel by bus from Westchester, Manhattan, JFK Airport, Philadelphia or Paramus. 2027 dates and rates are also published.
