RDT just announced the return of Ring Around the Rose, the beloved “wiggle-friendly” performance series for children and families. From September through May, families can enjoy a variety of one-hour, interactive performances on the second Saturday of each month at 11 AM at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in downtown Salt Lake City.

This April, Blackfriars Theatre (795 East Main Street) will reopen its “Conservatory” as part of a plan to expand programming for the theater and provide access for an underserved market of performers.

Opening the Spring season at Polka Theatre is a new musical adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk from the team behind We're Going on a Bear Hunt. Co-written by Polka's outgoing Artistic Director, Peter Glanville with music by Barb Jungr, and directed by Roman Stefanski, Jack v Giant offers a gender-swapped take on the fairy tale for ages 4 to 8.

Registration for in person MPAC Performing Arts School classes is currently underway.  Classes begin the week of January 23 and run through May 2022.

From musical theatre workshops to magic, private voice instruction to improv to stand-up comedy for adults, there's something for both children and adults to try out and enjoy. Classes range in time from 60 minutes to two hours.

The Regional Emmy-Award Winning musical theatre training organization, Young Artists of America (YAA), is now welcoming 4th and 5th grade students into their Summer Performing Arts Intensives. Previously, the program, known to many as the premiere training ground for dedicated musical theatre students in the Mid-Atlantic, was only open to students in middle school and high school. Starting in June of 2020, elementary school students (ages 9+) will be welcomed into the new daytime program, Kids Academy, an introduction to musical theatre led by the region's top teaching artists.

BPA Theatre School is now registering for an enticing array of spring classes for pupils of all ages. Students, ages 4 - 7 will blossom in a super-positive growth experience for our littlest islanders: Creative Drama instructs students on using their faces, bodies, and voices to tell a story. Students, ages 6 - 8, will learn two song-and-dance numbers and engage in imaginative skill-building theatre games in Introduction to Musical Theatre.
