About this camp
Ocala Civic Theatre, now branded The Civic, is a not-for-profit community theatre located at 4337 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in the Appleton Cultural Center in Ocala, Florida. Its education arm, The Academy, offers year-round multi-generational programs in the theatre arts for learners ages 6 and up, including group classes and private coaching in acting, singing, dancing and production, delivered both on site and remotely. In the summer The Academy runs two multi-week conservatory-style performance camps, the long-running program historically known as Arts For All. Classes are taught by professionally trained teaching artists using a directed curriculum with hands-on application and regular opportunities for learners to share their work. Registration is handled through the theatre's online ticketing and class system.
