On Monday night, funny lady Christine Pedi got to show off her musical chops as she celebrated the release of her new CD, "Good To Mama" as part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series. She belted, she purred, she joked, she duetted with legendary guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, and she showed off her vast array of famous voices to the delight of a packed house. Christine Pedi can currently be seen off-Broadway in NEWSical The Musical and can be heard daily hosting SiriusXM Radio?s "On Broadway" channel. She was recently on Broadway as Mama Morton in Chicago, was in Talk Radio with Liev Schrieber, and Little Me with Martin Short. She played the title role in Miss Abigail's Guide To Dating, Mating & Marriage and received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Forbidden Broadway. A multi-award winning cabaret artist, her show Great Dames has played all over the US, London and South Africa. She's appeared in many of the 24 Hour Plays, A Train Plays and Project Shaw events in NYC. She is also Mrs. Bobby Baccala - a dead "Soprano." (4 scenes, 5 lines...dead.) The Broadway at Birdland concert series takes place every Monday at 7pm. Birdland is located at 315 West 44 Street, in the heart of Manhattan's theater district.
