Marieann Meringolo To Celebrate The Release Of Her Latest CD At The Iridium  

The New York based vocalist has been receiving "Rave" reviews for her powerful interpretations of the songs written by the legendary team of Alan & Marilyn Bergman. From being called "The Miracle at Feinstein's," to being compared to both Streisand and Linda Eder, Marieann's reputation as one of the best interpreters of song working today, continues to soar!

You can witness her joy of singing these songs once again, on May 29th at 8:30 p.m. at The Iridium Jazz Club. The "Concert" team consists of longtime Musical Director/pianist/arranger, Doyle Newmyer along with Boots Maleson on bass and Sipho Kunene on drums. Directed by Will Nunziata.

In the concert, as on the CD, Marieann performs the classics, "The Way We Were," "Pieces of Dreams," "Nice 'n' Easy," plus a stirring version of "Fifty Percent," (where the pronouns have been changed to share a same - sex love story.) In addition, she places her musical stamp on several obscure songs including: "Something New In My Life," and "Love Makes the Changes."

Marieann's critically acclaimed, sold out performances, include the New York City venues: Feinstein's/54 Below, Joe's Pub...at The Public Theater, The Iridium, Metropolitan Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, The Hammerstein Ballroom and Tavern On The Green. In addition, Marieann has toured with comedian David Brenner, headlined at the State-of-the-Art Steinman Hall at The Ware Center, Lancaster, PA, and internationally as a Headliner on the prestigious cruise ships; Oceania, Regent Seven Seas and Princess.
