Mara Davi has announced the Album Release Concert for her first album, Unspoken, with her new band, Mara and the Bitter Suite.  This full-length album of original songs is the product of collaboration between Mara Davi (lyrics), and her long time friend and music director, Adam Waite (music).  The concert will be at Joe's Pub, August 26th, at 9:30 PM.  For tickets, visit www.joespub.com.

Composer and Conductor Adam Waite met Broadway actress/singer Mara Davi (A Chorus Line, The Drowsy Chaperone, White Christmas) while recording Broadway's Carols for a Cure Album in 2006. After collaborating on multiple concerts for Birdland, Ars Nova, and Lyrica Chamber Orchestra, they began writing their own original music. In the fall of 2011, they were joined by Will Clark (Drums), Matt Jaworski (Guitar), Kris Rogers (bass) and Leena Waite (violin) and became Mara and the Bitter Suite. Their debut album, Unspoken, was produced by Mara Davi, Adam Waite, Adam Gilbert, and David Bowick.  Their debut album, Unspoken, is avaible on iTunes and Amazon mp3.  For more information, go to www.facebook.com/MaraAndTheBitterSuite
