LOVER LOVER
A Play by Veronika Gribanova AT The Duplex NYC
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2 at 9:30 p.m.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7 at 9:30 p.m.
After a sold-out run at the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival, the New York run of Lover Lover will be presented with an expanded script, a new director, Derek Nicoletto, and a New York cast on Saturday, December 2 at 9:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 7 at 9:30 p.m. at the legendary Cabaret at The Duplex at 61 Christopher Street, New York, New York.
A lesbian and a straight guy walk into a bar...sounds like a joke, but Lover Lover is a story about heartbreak, identity, sexuality, polyamory, and about the limitations and possibilities of love. It is the story of two lovers that have never met...until tonight. Full of surprises, this site-specific piece is an intimate conversation between strangers in a public space. It unfolds in real time, with the audience seated around this intimate conversation and within the mind of their lover, Ana, who is trying to piece it all together.
Directed by Derek Nicoletto, the cast includes: Veronika Gribanova (Marina), Carter Horton (Mark) and Maribel Martinez (Ana).
