Jennifer Sheehan Returns to the Metropolitan Room with I KNOW A PLACE, Now thru 10/27

Jennifer Sheehan reprises her critically acclaimed '60s show, "I Know a Place," for three nights in October at the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street. Backed by her trio led by music director James Followell on piano, Sheehan ranges far and wide into a kaleidoscope of styles to bring this 60's soundtrack to life. "I Know a Place," which opened at Feinstein's in May, plays the Metropolitan Room tonight through Saturday, October 25, 26 and 27, all at 7pm.

Sheehan interprets Bacharach, the Beatles, bossa nova, Streisand, and seminal songs from the big screen and Broadway. Sheehan's "effervescent new show" marks the highly anticipated return of the young sensation to the Metropolitan Room, where she made quite the sensation with her breakthrough show, "You Made Me Love You," in a sold-out run in March of 2011.

The multi award-winner grabbed the first-ever Noël Coward Foundation Competition Award, and was honored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation with the Julie Wilson Award. This past fall she was named the first-ever recipient of the Johnny Mercer Foundation's Margaret Whiting Award and of the Dorothy Loudon Foundation's Dorothy Loudon Award. She made her Carnegie Hall debut as a special guest of Michael Feinstein and has performed in solo shows across the country and in the UK.
