J.R. Heckman Sets Release of Debut Album 'Timeless' Recorded Live at 54 Below
The album will be available on August 1, 2025.
Award-winning vocalist and actor J.R. Heckman has announced the release of his debut album, Timeless, captured during his 54 Below debut in August 2024. Described as "a love letter to the music that shaped generations," the album will be available on August 1, 2025. It is available to pre-save here.
Timeless features familiar classics of the American songbook, such as "New York, New York," "It Had To Be You," and "What a Wonderful World," all performed in front of a live audience. Accompanying J.R. on his album debut are Broadway musicians, Mark C. Mitchell (piano), Louis Castano (drums), Ray Kilday (bass), and guest vocalist, Natalie Leclair. Stephen Fraser is the arranger. Tony® nominee and three-time Emmy® nominee, Mia Moravis, is the Producer, and Tony® winner and GRAMMY® nominee, Michael J Moritz Jr, is the Mixing Engineer.
ABOUT J.R. Heckman
Distinguished in multiple entertainment arenas, J.R. has also produced two benefit concerts for Josh Groban’s Find Your Light Foundation for underserved arts education. He was a National Jimmy Award Finalist and three-time nominee, in addition to being a three-time Cleveland Playhouse Square Dazzle Award Recipient for Best Actor. J.R. has performed solo shows at celebrated New York venues, including Broadway’s 54 Below and The Green Room 42. Additionally, he has served as the Directing Assistant for the Jimmy Awards for the past three years.
J.R. recently won MCC Theater’s MISCASTME Vocal Competition, and has assisted on the Broadway productions of SMASH, Sunset Blvd., Cabaret at The Kit Kat Club, An Enemy of the People, Othello, and Suffs. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
