Cabaret Showdown to Present THE SWINGIN' 60s, 9/8

Revisit the sounds of the 60's, from Sweet Soul to Rockabilly Pop in a very special showdown at the 99-seat Kraine Theatre. The Cabaret Showdown is a monthly game show that offers a unique mixture oflive karaoke & "Jeopardy." Contestants are asked to sing selections from various musical categorieslisted on the Official Game Board, with no knowledge of what the song will be until just before they sing. To level the playing field, all songs are popular standards & each contestant is given a copy of the sheet music & is accompanied by a live pianist. The winner receives a FREE one-hour booking at Under St. Marks for their very own show! Whether you are a contestant, or in the audience, you are guaranteed to have a blast!

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! It's a 3-show night at The Cabaret Showdown. At 5:30pm, Malachi Nimmons, Jr. will present Just a Little Off the Top: A Night of Improvisation with Malachi Nimmons. Nimmons, the winner of The Cabaret Showdown - Songs of Film & Television, gives us an exciting night of made up songs, hilarious characters & never-before-seen tomfoolery. Then, at 9:30pm, our very first Cabaret Showdown All-Star Champion, Megan Loughran, will perform All-Star Cabaret, a special show at the Kraine.
