As a veteran performer, James Harkness' career thus far has ranged from small stages in casino cities to concert stages in many parts of the world to the boob tube and the silver screen having worked with the likes of Kenny Ortega, Debbie Allen, Reba McIntyre, Elijah Wood.

Harkness has also been blessed to live under the lights on many of our beloved Broadway stages in NY performing in Aida, The Color Purple and currently Beautiful to name a few.

In addition to the love of performing is the love of music and how it's put together both lyrically and orchestrated. The road to songwriting has been long, full of doubt and due to that doubt, some procrastination but never was the road left. After braving to sing an original composition in a cabaret show he found himself moving down the road to sharing his original material much faster. Harkness is proud, humbled and grateful to be making his singer/songwriter debut at The Metropolitan Room under the guiding hand of Mr. Joseph Macchia. He thank all who are sharing their time and talents with him.
