Brian Charles Rooney to Make Joe's Pub Debut 10/24
Broadway's Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera) will take the stage in his solo concert debut at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street, NYC) on Sunday, October 24 at 7:30pm. Christopher Vassiliades is musical director. Rooney and Fred Sauter (Bedbugs!!! co-creator) co-conceived the act.

An award-winning, rule-breaking performer with a multi-octave voice like no other, Brian Charles Rooney humorously challenges notions you might have about cabaret, wielding a unique voice suffering from an entertaining case of multiple personality disorder!
The Ramsey, NJ native made his Broadway debut in the Roundabout's revival of The Threepenny Opera in the soprano role of Lucy Brown. He also appeared in the NY Philharmonic's concert of Camelot. Regionally, he won this year's Connecticut Critics' Circle Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance of Candy Darling in POP! Off-Broadway he won an Outstanding Performance Award - Best in Fest NYMF 2008: for Dionne Salon in Bedbugs!!! and starred in the title role of The Student Prince. He has also performed the role of Tony in the European tour of West Side Story. Rooney has also performed around the country with symphony orchestras.In person at The Public Theater Box Office (1 PM to 6 PM), or at the Joe's Pub Box Office from (6pm to 10pm) both located at 425 Lafayette Street, NYC.
