Anita Procedure Set For NYC Debut This Month at the Laurie Beechman Theatre
Anita Procedure, LA's premiere singing drag queen, is set to bring her show Adult Performer: A Musical Tale of One Queen's Journey from Twinkdom to (Semi) Stardom to the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York City. There will be two performances only, on Thursday, August 16 and Friday, August 17, both at 7pm.
Anita Procedure, aka the Baritone Bombshell, is the drag persona of musical theatre performer Jonathan Reinhart. Anita has been taking Los Angeles by storm since 2016, making a name for herself with live vocal performances, vintage glamour, and charming wit. She has performed alongside Broadway's Michael Arden, Andy Mientus, Jai Rodriguez, and Darren Criss, and she recently appeared in Palm Springs with NYC sensation The Skivvies. She has hosted numerous events across LA, including karaoke every Tuesday at Revolver in West Hollywood, and she is the host/curator of A Queer Cabaret, a bi-monthly variety show at Darren Criss' Tramp Stamp Granny's in Hollywood. Anita has appeared on TV on Paramount's Lip Sync Battle as Sporty Spice alongside Rita Ora as Scary Spice, and as Dorit Kemsley of Real Housewives fame on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live hosted by Andy Cohen. She can also be seen in the upcoming short film The Cocoa Fondue Show alongside Bob the Drag Queen, Ginger Minj, Jackie Beat, and Manila Luzon. @anitaprocedure
At the Beechman, Anita will be joined by acclaimed twin brother music duo jackbenny. On Monday, August 20, at 7:30pm, Anita will host A Queer Cabaret at Club Cumming. The show will feature special guests along with live music by jackbenny. There is no cover charge. Club Cumming is located at 505 East 6th Street, NYC, 10009.
