The Green Room 42 presents Alexandra Socha in Finding Home on September 15, 2017. Join us for an evening of story through song.

Alexandra Socha lets the audience into her innermost thoughts as she wrestles with her relationship to the theatre and performing; what it meant to her growing up, when it changed, how it got lost, and why she decided to rebuild. With an eclectic mix of music from classic Broadway to bluegrass and an acoustic folk sound throughout, Alexandra makes her Green Room 42 debut with a story she is finally ready to share.

Music directed by Adam Ben-David. Directed by Eric Michael Gillett.

Alexandra Socha in Finding Home plays Green Room 42 (570 10th Avenue inside Yotel) on September 15th at 9:00pm. There is a $25 cover charge and no food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.greenroom42.com.

At 17 years old, Alexandra Socha was chosen from an open call in Boston to join the Broadway cast of the Tony-winning musical Spring Awakening. Originally appearing in the ensemble, less than a year later she stepped into the role of Wendla, which she played until the show's close. She also appeared in the famously short-lived revival of Brighton Beach Memoirs as well as the Off-Broadway productions of The Dream of The Burning Boy (Drama League Nomination), Death Takes A Holiday, and Fun Home at The Public Theatre (Lucille Lortel Nomination/Best Actress in a Musical.) She has sung in concert at The Kennedy Center and with The Young People's Chorus of New York at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Her television credits include recurring roles on Damages opposite Glenn Close, The Big C, and Royal Pains. Most recently, she can be seen on the Amazon Original Series Red Oaks as Skye, the privileged art student daughter of Paul Reiser's club president, having had the opportunity through that show to work with such great directors as David Gordon Green, Amy Heckerling, & Hal Hartley. She can be seen this fall in Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Actually.
