Aaron Blake Comes to Feinstein's/54 Below This June! FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents rising young opera star and 2017 George London Award winner Aaron Blake, who made his Metropolitan Opera debut this past season in "La Traviata" with Placido Domingo, and will now make his cabaret debut on Friday, June 1 at 9:30 PM at Feinstein's/54 Below.

He has prepared a meaningful and varied selection of repertoire spanning both the classical and popular genres and is looking forward to sharing this exciting program with Feinstein's/54 Below and its patrons. He will be collaborating with his longtime pianist Cris Frisco.

Touted by the N.Y. Times as "appealing and youthful" and by the Wall St.Journal as "touching and explosive," Blake is rapidly becoming one of the most acclaimed tenors at major opera houses and concert venues throughout the world. This past season alone, in addition to his Metropolitan bow, he starred as Timothy Laughlin in the New York premiere of Gregory Spears' critically-acclaimed new opera "Fellow Travelers," a role which he created and subsequently recorded with the Cincinnati Opera and for which he received WQXR/Operavore's "Freddy Award" for "Excellence in Opera" and "Star-making Performance". He also performed the title role of Rothschild in Fleischman's opera "Rothschild's Violin," based on Chekov, with the American Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, traveled to Japan with Komische Oper Berlin for a three-city tour as Tamino in Mozart's "Die Zauberflote," and starred as Louis in N.Y. City Opera's groundbreaking production of "Angels in America."

Starting May 9, he will play the title role in Leonard Bernstein's "Candide" for 11 performances with the Atlanta Symphony/ALLIANCE THEATRE, and in July, he will be featured in Bernstein's "Mass" at the Ravinia Festival with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This coming season, the tenor will make his role debut as Count Almaviva in Rossini's "The Barber of Seville" with both the Tulsa Opera and the N.Y. City Opera. He will reprise the role of Tamino in Australia and New Zealand, as well as with the Lincoln Center Festival in New York, and finally will return to the Met in their iconic production of Poulenc's "Dialogues of the Carmelites".

A native of Palos Verdes, CA, Blake is an alumnus of the Juilliard School and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. He is excited about bringing the music he loves to this new venue and his thrilled to be making his debut at Feinstein's/54 Below. http://www.lombardoassociates.org/aaron-blake/
