AAPI: PLAYLIST Volume 2 to Return to The Green Room 42 for Heritage Month
The concert features Amelia Fei, Joo Won Shin, and Lav Raman, co-produced by Sooyeon Yoon and Chaeyeon Kim.
The Green Room 42 will present AAPI: Playlist Volume 2 - Behind the Playlist on May 24 at 9:30pm, co-produced by Sooyeon Yoon and Chaeyeon Kim, with Music Direction by Aidan S. Wells. Presented in celebration of AAPI Heritage Month, the concert continues the growing multi-concert series dedicated to celebrating the voices, stories, and artistry of AAPI performers in New York City.
Following the success of its inaugural concert, AAPI: Playlist Volume 2 takes a more personal turn - inviting performers to share songs connected to their own memories, milestones, relationships, growth, and lived experiences. Blending musical theatre, pop, and contemporary music, the evening will unfold like a curated playlist of personal stories, with each artist bringing a piece of themselves to the stage.
Rather than centering around a single genre or theme, AAPI: Playlist highlights the individuality and range of AAPI performers, creating space for artists to be seen not only through representation, but through deeply personal storytelling. Through music, reflection, and community, the concert aims to celebrate the richness and diversity of AAPI artistry while fostering connection between performers and audiences alike.
Featuring an all-AAPI cast, AAPI: Playlist Volume 2 will include performances by Steven Dao, Amelia Fei (How To Dance In Ohio), Monica Ligh, Joo Won Shin (Netflix Squid Game), Karlo Siriban, Sooyeon Yoon, Lav Raman (Heathers), Chaeyeon Kim, Minji Kim, Alice Kim Yu showcasing a dynamic range of musical styles, voices, and artistic perspectives.
Tickets start at $19, with no food or beverage minimum. Livestream tickets will also be available.
