A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN's Natasha Yvette Williams Set for Marty Thomas Presents DIVA Tonight
Marty Thomas presents DIVA is a weekly show at Industry Bar in midtown Manhattan. Featuring a cast of Alexa Green (WICKED, COMPANY), Kelly King (Babyface, Michael Bolton) and Marissa Rosen (MY BIG GAY ITALIAN WEDDING), it is hosted and produced by Marty Thomas (XANADU, WICKED, THE SECRET GARDEN). DIVA celebrates fabulous female vocalists paying tribute to some of histories most over the top icons! The cast performs a brand new show every week with exciting new guests rotating.
Monday, December 2, NaTasha Yvette Williams (A Night With Janis Joplin) will join the divas.
Natasha is currently starring on Broadway as Aretha Franklin in A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin. She made her Broadway debut as Sofia in The Color Purple and originated the role of Mammy in the West End's Gone With the Wind. . Other stage credits include All Shook Up,Godspell, Abyssinia, Ain't Misbehavin' and Parade. A talented gospel singer, she returned to Broadway in 2012 as Catfish Row matriarch Mariah in Porgy and Bess.
