By: Nov. 09, 2010

William Shimell will sing the role of Don Alfonso in Mozart's Così fan tutte for all performances this season, replacing Wolfgang Holzmair who is suffering from a sinus infection. Mr. Shimell previously sang the role during the 1996-1997 season.

Cosi Fan Tutte, conducted by William Christie, features Miah Persson as Fiordiligi, Isabel Leonard as Dorabella, Danielle De Niese as Despina, Pavol Breslik as Ferrando, and Nathan Gunn as Guglielmo. The production opens on November 9.
