LA Opera Presents Audra McDonald in Concert Tonight

Broadway legend Audra McDonald returns to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for a concert tonight, October 26. The five-time Tony winner and two-time Grammy winner, who recently starred in four seasons of the hit ABC television series Private Practice, will perform an intimate evening of favorite showtunes, classic songs from the movies, and original pieces written especially for this extraordinary artist. She will be joined by music director/pianist Andy Einhorn, with Mark Vanderpoel on the bass and Gene Lewin on drums.

Presented by LA Opera, this will be Ms. McDonald's first appearance at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion since her 2007 LA Opera debut as Jenny in Kurt Weill's Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny. The resulting recording won her two Grammy Awards, for Best Opera Recording and for Best Classical Album.

The concert will take place at 7:30pm tonight, October 26, 2013, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, 135 N. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90012.
