Mezzo-soprano Heather Johnson will sing in the Met's Summer Recital Series on Tuesday, July 19 at Crotona Park in the Bronx and Thursday, July 21 at Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island, replacing Renée Tatum, who is recovering from surgery.

Heather Johnson sings her first performance with the Met at Crotona Park. She is currently singing Rosina with Opera New Jersey, a role she reprises in the upcoming season with Opera Southwest. Recent appearances include the title role of La Cenerentola and Hansel in Hansel and Gretel with Sarasota Opera, the title role of Carmen with Volkstheater Rostock in Germany, Meg Page in Falstaff with New York City Opera, and Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Boston Lyric Opera.

Johnson joins soprano Layla Claire, bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green, and pianist Bradley Moore in programs of opera arias and ensembles. The recitals begin at 7:00 p.m. and are free, no tickets are required.
