The Dubplates New Music Makes Past and Current President Dance

The reggae-funk, dancehall hip-hop energetic genre-benders, The Dubplates release a powerful get-off-your-seats and dance single and an epic animated lyric video "UH HUH," from their upcoming album Box Full Of Steel set to release on June 23, 2017. The core members Big Hair (David Brisacher) and Daddy Brady (Brady Waggoner) and their nine-twelve piece award-winning band have a reputation in their hometown of Charleston, South Carolina for bringing various cultures and diversity to the dance floors and equally importantly, breaking the reggae/dancehall scene for the conservative community.

The Dubplates' live shows produce a brilliant mix of multiple horns, percussions and guitar players, housing seven vocalists, steadfast bass, catchy DJ sounds and electrifying keys. The band is comprised of core members, Big Hair (David Brisacher) and Daddy Brady (Brady Waggoner)on guitar/vocals, along with varied members Papa Robbie (Robert Ellington) on vocals, Andy Masker on sax, DJ Trail-Mix on turntables, Ryan Becknell on guitar, Professor Spice (Peter Wilborn) on drums and Shawn Legree and Dub Denizen on percussion.

Their upcoming album, Box Full Of Steel is packed with epic collaborations from heavy hitters, such as King Yellowman, Junior Reid, Mix Master Mike (Beastie Boys), Future Fambo, Elephant Man and Zumjay. The album is produced by Chalicetown Records and distributed worldwide by VPAL Music. The animated lyrical video was produced by none other than Daddy Brady himself.

Due to the band's diverse nature, drawing from traditional reggae riddims, to easy-listening dancehall vibes and mix of silky and gritty afro-funk, The Dubplates have been graced to perform and connected with the likes of Damian Marley, Steel Pulse, Flavor Flav, Sean Paul, Big Boi (Outcast), The Wailers, Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys, Stephen Marley, Girl Talk, Too Short, Beenie Man, King Yellowman, Chali2na & Cut Chemist of Jurassic 5, LAMFO, Pretty Lights, B-52s, DJ Logic, Tanya Stephens and Elephant Man.
