https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/projector/id1292601326 Known for his collaborations with Brian Eno and Phillip Glass, and the music he composed for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, on PROJECTOR Rona has created a piece of art that is both deeply arresting and profoundly transformative. Drawing from his time working with Eno and Jon Hassell, Projector came together from a far-flung set of audio sources - from field recordings in the most remote part of the upper Amazon, to any number of found objects, to unidentified radio transmissions. These were turned into ambient sounds, harmonies and modern rhythms. The rest comes from Rona and his fellow musicians playing guitars, electric and acoustic cellos, voices, folk instruments, and piano. A new process created a new sound. The record features contributions from British cellist and recording artist Peter Gregson, British film composer David Julyan (Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige), LA-based cellist Emily Rice, Japanese singer (and archery expert) Yoko Honda and others.
