This weekend at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas, 5 Seconds of Summer informed Billboard that they are currently at work on a new album, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Their debut album was released earlier this year.

5 Seconds of Summer, is a popular Australian pop rock band that formed in Sydney in 2011. The band features members Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin. The group originally gained fame as YouTube celebrities, where they gained popularity from posting covers of popular songs on Hemmings' YouTube channel. 5 Seconds of Summer's first EP managed to hit number 3 on the iTunes charts in Australia at the time of its release, despite relying on social media outlets for advertisement of the EP.

The group skyrocketed to fame a few years ago when band members from One Direction began linking to their songs online.

Though they owe their roots to online music outlets, they still appreciate playing a live concert. 'We want to be, like, the best live band we can be,' they said in an interview.
