Temecula Valley is well-recognized for its award-winning wines; however, their hand-crafted beers are gaining popularity with eight breweries and growing. In celebration of local brews, Visit Temecula Valley introduced May as Craft Brew Month in 2017. This year, Visit Temecula Valley invites all the breweries to feature beers, food pairings and specials.

Several breweries will feature specialty brews, like Bavarian-style Windansea Wheat beer and Deadpan Pilsner. Some are offering perfectly paired signature menu items to compliment small batch brews, such Karl Strauss' Baja Street Corn Skillet, and Gilled Citrus-Chipotle Shrimp. Visitors hoping to sample the finest craft brews in the valley will want to plan a midweek two-night stay to best experience the craft beer specials featured throughout the month.

Aftershock Brewing Company is showcasing their 20+ craft brew varieties with fun week-night specials that add to the excitement. Don't miss Growler Tuesdays ($5 off all growler fills all day!), Wet-Your-Whistle-Wednesdays (half off signature brews), Trivia Thursdays, and New Release Fridays, debuting a new craft brew each week throughout the month.

Garage Brewing, where quality is key, is located just south of Old Town Temecula, will have a "Meet the Brewers" series, and a special $3 offer for the first purchase of featured signature beers every Tuesday.

Karl Strauss Brewery, San Diego's first microbrewery dating back to 1989, will feature their Bavarian-style Windansea Wheat Beer and pair it with Baja Street Corn Skillet with grilled citrus-chipotle shrimp, fresh roasted corn "off the cob," red jalapeno, avocado, green onion, chili-lime, cilantro, and queso fresco.

Refuge Brewery, the 2017 Gold Medal winning brewery, celebrates Craft Beer Month with Summer Nights on Saturday, May 19, 5:30pm-10:00pm. Admission includes a commemorative Summer Nights glass, plus a beer pour. There will be a live band and a food truck. Specials include a free Refuge shirt with every Brewer's Reserve Bottle Club sign up, and mention #drinktemecula for a $1 off beer pour (excludes happy hour pricing).

Wiens Brewing Company has been making award-winning brews since 2012. They will offer $3 pints of their Deadpan Pilsner through the month of May.
