By: Oct. 17, 2011

Singing for Dancers with Liz Caplan Vocal Studios, presented by Dance Spirit magazine, is here to help dancers achieve their dreams. This is the first mobile application that provides proven techniques to empower dancers to find their voice and make them more confident in their singing.

Dancers can now train "on the go" and at their own pace with the industry's leading vocal coach, Liz Caplan. Many of today's top recording artists, Broadway performers, television, and film stars, have entrusted Liz to help them sound their absolute best while maintaining optimum vocal health.
Liz Caplan coaches the biggest Broadway stars and currently serves as the vocal consultant for Broadway's Book of Mormon and Wicked, and the vocal production coach for Rock of Ages and American Idiot. Some of Liz's students in TV, Film and Music include: Neil Patrick Harris, Cheyenne Jackson, Stephen Colbert, Brooke Shields, Allison Janney, Ana Gasteyer, Ashanti, James Blunt, Lily Allen, Johnny Rzeznick, and Natasha Beddingfield.

"I'm thankful for Liz Caplan's coaching and guidance. She provides me with the skills to perform at my best, but additionally she delivers the instruction with great confidence and cheer. It makes for a much better process. I love her energy, light and education." Neil Patrick Harris

"Liz is a brilliant, patient, inspiring teacher. Not only do I want to sing like Liz, I want to BE like Liz." Stephen Colbert

The App contains 90 minutes of gender specific audio and video specifically designed for dancers. It features exercises and technique to improve: breath control, pitch accuracy, power, tone, singing with congestion plus warm ups to do before auditions, recordings, and performances, as well as written content on singing while in motion, feeding the voice plus much more.

Also included is a list of songs specifically chosen for dancers that are easy to sing yet professionally appropriate for auditions. As an added bonus, there's a complete list of resources for both aspiring and professional dancers courtesy of Dance Spirit magazine.

Singing for Dancers is truly a one-of- a- kind app, giving dancers the tools to be a better singer, and ultimately expand their career potential.

The App is now available for $9.99 at the iTunes Store for iPhone, iTouch and iPad and Android Market for Droid.

About Liz Caplan Vocal Studios
Liz Caplan has been "balancing the state of the artist" for over 30 years as a voice teacher and vocal coach in New York City, and as a guest lecturer throughout the United States and Europe. Her students are currently featured in principal roles on Broadway, national tours, off-Broadway, regionally, and as artists in the recording industry. Many have won Tony Awards, Grammy and Emmy Awards. In addition, she works with many Tony and Grammy Award nominated and winning musical directors and arrangers. As a result, Liz is able to get a sense of the upcoming trends in both musical theatre and the music industry. Her students therefore benefit from a teacher
who has an awareness of these new productions and their various musical styles. Liz Caplan draws upon many diverse disciplines in her approach to teaching voice. Her innovative use of physical
alignment, exercise, and nutrition help to build and maintain a healthy instrument. Vocal exercises, tailored to the individual student, aim to strengthen the larynx and vocal cords as well as releasing the tongue and jaw, yielding increased range and flexibility.

In addition to Singing For Dancers, Liz Caplan currently has a successful line of gender specific vocal coaching mobile applications available in iTunes that include: Vocal Tool Kit Pro, Vocal Coach Country , Vocal Coach Rock /Blues, Vocal Coach Music Theater, Vocal Coach Pop / R&B, and Vocal Coach Choir.
