Valencia College will hold its Annual Spring Dance Concert on March 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. in Valencia's East Campus Performing Arts Center.

The concert, which is collaboration between the Valencia College dance department and the dance department at Rollins College, is a staple of the spring arts calendar. Each year since 1991, the concert has highlighted guest artists and choreography by faculty members, and features student, faculty and guest dancers from both colleges.

This year, the concert will present four works: choreographer Alvin Ailey's "Escapades," restaged by guest artist and former Ailey dancer Derrick Minter; a solo entitled "With a Smile," choreographed by Minter; "L'Esprit," a modern ballet by Lesley Brasseux Rodgers, Valencia's artistic director; and "Suddenly Love!" a jazz piece by Dr. W. Robert Sherry, director of dance at Rollins College.

Ticket prices are $10 for the general public and free for Valencia students with student I.D. Senior citizens and students from other colleges will be charged $8. For more ticket information, go to www.valenciacollege.edu/arts or call the box office at 407-582-2900.

Valencia's East Campus is located at 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail in Orlando.
