NJ PAC Features Dance Performances in February

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) is the place for dance in the month of February. Located in Newark's downtown arts district, NJPAC is the sixth largest performing arts center in the United States. As a premiere venue they present a vast variety of performances that are sure to please area dance enthusiasts. The theater is easily accessible by car, bus, or train.

On Friday evening, February 1st, the State Russian Ballet Theater, a favorite of NJ PAC audiences for more than five years, will be performing Cinderella at 7:30 pm. Cinderella will come to life when the full corps de ballet and company of 50 performers take the stage. The ballet is choreographed by the one-time Bolshoi star, Vladimir Vasiliev.

The dances of Nai-Ni Chen fuse the dynamic freedom of American modern dance with the grace and splendor of Asian art. The company's productions take the audience beyond cultural boundaries to where tradition meets innovation and freedom arises from discipline.
