Valentina Kozlova, former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and New York City Ballet, presents the young dancers of her Dance Conservatory of New York in their annual Spring Gala, June 25 at 7:30 PM at Symphony Space, Broadway & 95th Street. The program will consist of excerpts from the classics, including Le Corsaire, La Fille Mal Gardee, Giselle, La Vivandiere, and Grand Pas Classique, along with original contemporary dances by Nina Buisson, Sharon McPeak, and Olga Verterich, reflecting both the classical and contemporary training at the Kozlova Conservatory.

Joining the students are young dancers Caroline Grossman, Ana Guerro, Brecke Swan, and Katya Kaburova, all medalists in the recent Kozlova International Ballet Competition, held in April at Symphony Space.

A graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet School, Valentina Kozlova received a comprehensive education in the classical ballets. With an approach both scholarly and artistic, she passes on the meaning and correct style of each ballet, and has distinguished herself over the years as a superb teacher and coach.
