Chicago Human Rhythm Project is hosting its annual Winter Tap JAMboree Feb. 4-6 at the Fine Arts Building, featuring an extraordinary faculty including tap diva Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, several leaders of Chicago's tap-art community including Lane Alexander, Julie Cartier, Tre Dumas and Jumaane Taylor as well as special guest from Toronto Kim Chalovich.

Winter Tap Jamboree will focus on:
- High quality educational workshops and classes for intermediate, advanced and professional dancers of all ages.
- The Leo Harris Tap Scholarship audition for dancers between the ages of 12 and 18 with a chance of earning one of twenty scholarships to Rhythm World 2011 worth $15,000. It includes the annual "You Be the Judge" component offering audience members the chance to choose one recipient.

Special programs during the jam-packed weekend include:
- a 3-hour, professional-level workshop by tap virtuoso Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards
- a "Tap Dancer's Guide to Survival and Prosperity" panel discussion /question answer lunch with our world renowned faculty
- an informal student showcase/tap jam Saturday night
- a panel discussion on "survival and prosperity"
- and the Leo Harris Tap Scholarship award announcement on Sunday!
