Dance with Miss Rachel, a dance and movement studio for children 7 months to 7 years, is pleased to announce the opening of its brand new, state-of-the-art studio space at Reade Street Prep at 104 Reade Street in Tribeca.

Founded by professional actress/singer/dancer "Miss Rachel" Cantor, the studio offers classes in ballet, musical theatre, and boys-only dance, along with birthday parties and future classes in Mommy & Me Music. All classes are led by two instructors (all of whom are professional actor/singer/dancers) who sing along to live piano music six days a week. Miss Rachel and her team created the curriculum and original music for all classes, seeking to educate children through storytelling, imaginative song and movement, and to spark their inner creativity. Kids are given an opportunity to develop balance, strength, flexibility, coordination, rhythm, grace, sharing, and independence.

Fall classes began September 9th in the school's first dedicated space. Cantor-a native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, who has toured professionally in Les Miserables, appeared in many of the countries top regional theatres, and is heard as the voice of Barbie in the full line of children's books and apps-developed a following in Tribeca and Lower Manhatthan teaching in the area for several years at other studios before striking out on her own. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory and, after initiatlly teaching as a side job between performing gigs, quickly found herself pulled toward focusing on it full time and returning to an early dream to own and operate a high-end, boutique studio.

The opening will be marked by a reception in the studio space-which boasts an original three-dimensional mural, colorful full studio, piano, and parents' waiting room/lounge-on Thursday evening, September 26.

Fall classes are open for enrollment at www.dancewithmissrachel.com or by calling 646-434-8150. Free trial classes are available for new students who reserve in advance.
