Dance in Process Resident Artists Are Announced - Dean Moss, Lance Gries and More!
Congratulations to the 2013-2014 Gibney Dance Center (GDC) DiP Resident Artists: Dean Moss, Lance Gries,RoseAnne Spradlin, and Jon Kinzel. Each artist will receive three weeks of continuous rehearsal space, access to an adjacent Production Office, and a menu of staff support and resource options as part of the DiP program for mid-career, New York City-based dance artists.
Moss and Spradlin were chosen by a selection committee through an open request for proposals, while Gries and Kinzel were chosen by New York City dance presenting organizations Danspace Project and The Chocolate Factory, respectively. 2012 boo-koo Artist Joanna Kotze Wins Bessie Award
Congratulations to Joanna Kotze (pictured above), a 2012 GDC boo-koo space grant recipient and now the recipient of the 2013 Bessie Award for Outstanding Emerging Choreographer! Kotze was presented with a New York Dance and Performance Award, also known as a "Bessie," at the annual nominations press conference held last week in GDC's Studio 5-2. She was nominated for her work It Happened It Had Happened It Is Happening It Will Happen, presented at Danspace Project.Videos
