The Atlantic City Ballet reveals its 34th season along with some big changes. First a new home-After a successful two season run at The Claridge the AC Ballet has formed a partnership with Caesars Entertainment to host their third season in Atlantic City. "We are just delighted to be partnering with Caesars this season" Director Phyllis Papa said. "The Circus Maximus Theater is magnificent and it has all the technical capabilities needed for our more elaborate ballets." "The Atlantic City Ballet is one of the hidden, cultural treasures our city has to offer," explained Caesars Entertainment President Kevin Ortzman. "Caesars is excited to forge this partnership with the Ballet and offer our guests first-class performances, at a tremendous value, throughout the Fall and Spring."

Second a new season- The ballet will bring back its most popular ballet's to celebrate their new home. Opening the season will be Sleeping Beauty, then patron favorite, Dracula and their two holiday favorites It's A Shore Holiday and Nutcracker. In the spring you'll see Carmen make a return appearance and an encore production of Swan Lake. And third, new price for AC residents-Atlantic City Ballet is always looking for ways to give back to the city. In the past they have performed their Ballet on the Boardwalk performances for the whole summer free of charge. Unfortunately, due to the city's financial crisis funding for these performances were cut so the ballet is now offering Atlantic City residents $12 tickets to any of their performances at Caesars. Also this season their popular Up Close and Personal Series will be returning but it's now on Sundays to accommodate more people. And the company will also be performing at The Strand Theater in Lakewood, NJ adding a 4th show to their season there.

Founded in 1982, by International Ballerina, Phyllis Papa, the Atlantic City Ballet is comprised of professional dancers from around the world and have earned national acclaim for their technical expertise and exuberant stage presence. Although their home base is in Historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, the Ballet has performed in theaters all along the east coast. Their repertoire of original works includes such classics as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake but Ms. Papa is most known for her innovative works such as Dracula, Caught Up In The Swing and her full length Carmen. Since its inception, the Atlantic City Ballet has served as one of the cultural treasures of New Jersey and continues a tradition of dance excellence for future generations of ballet audiences
