The Canticum Novum Singers Perform 'The Unknown Region' Concert Tonight

The Canticum Novum Singers, Harold Rosenbaum, Conductor and Artistic Director will present The Unknown Region concert tonight, May 9 - 8:00 PM at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 87th St. between Broadway and West End Ave., New York, NY.

This second concert of The Canticum Novum Singers' 42nd Anniversary season will include Johannes Brahms' Schicksalslied, Randall Thompson's The Road Not Taken (from Frostiana), David Lang's It's the Same Train, Ralph Vaughan Williams' Toward the Unknown Region, William Schuman's Carols of Death and Jonathan Harvey's Angels. The music explores unknown regions, whether they be places, situations, states of mind, or the uncertainties of the spirit world.

The Canticum Novum Singers, hailed by critics and audiences alike, is now in its 42nd season under the direction of its founder, Harold Rosenbaum. During the past 41 years, this chamber choir has achieved both national and international recognition for its stylistic versatility, vocal blend, and expressive range. The ensemble has presented dozens of world, American, and New York premieres by composers ranging from Handel, J.C.
