Hershey Symphony Orchestra Presents Holiday Spectacular 2014 Tonight
Hershey Symphony Orchestra presents its annual holiday concert, Holiday Spectacular 2014, tonight, December 5, 2014 at 8 p.m. at the Hershey Theatre.
Holiday Spectacular includes seasonal favorites and the 2014 Hershey Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition Winner, Leslie Wang, performing the first movement of Schumann's "Piano Concerto in A Minor." Joining the orchestra on some selections will be the Hershey Symphony Festival Strings, its 100-member youth orchestra. Other classic selections include "Mother Ginger from Nutcracker" by Tchaikovsky, "Festive Sounds of Hanukkah" by William Holcombe, "Sleigh Ride" and "Christmas Festival Overture" by Leroy Anderson, plus a holiday sing-along with the audience and much more. In the spirit of the holidays, Santa Claus will be sliding down the Theatre chimney for a special visit with a sweet treat for all. The Symphony will also be selling holiday poinsettias for audience members to take home.
